MOTIVATION & SUPPORT

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

Motivation is the driving force that helps to move us towards achieving our goals. We often know what we want but struggle to find the impetus to take action. Discovering how to incite motivation in you as an individual will help keep focus, self-discipline and a positivite approach to achieving what you want..

WHAT TO EXPECT

To set a goal you must know exactly what you want and what it would mean to you to achieve this. Whether you wish to feel confident on the beach, to fit into clothes or to reduce stress, increase energy and improve over-all health; deciding what is important to you will be where we start. We will then look at what improvements can be made to create the most impact, and then how to overcome possible obstacles. These could be environmental or social influences or limitations linked to self-discipline or belief in one's ability. Any goals we set will be specific, realistic achievable and regularly reviewed to keep you on track.

SETTING YOUR GOALS

FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

To keep motivation and focus we need to find what works for you. Some of my clients like to use photographs of a time that they were happier with how they looked or images of others who inspire. Some prefer the visual evidence and statistics included in their weekly progress reports and charts. What ever triggers are necessary will be utilised. SImply revisiting your goal and reminding yourself WHY you want this can be a very powerful motivator too.

A common set-back after reaching a goal is to lose focus and end up back at square one. So how do we prevent you from undoing all of your hard work? The answer is in how we approach the process of achieving goals from the start. A short-term approach will offer short-term results. Building new habits, making the right choices, being able to recognise what could still be done better will all help to create a new way of living that supports how you want to look and feel. The occasional set-back may occur but rather than allowing guilt to take over, we will sit down and work out what can be done better going forward. My aim is for you to feel in control yet free to enjoy a healthy and balanced way of living.
