Choosing which foods will benefit us most can be tricky. Maintaining self-control is another issue! When faced with 'forbidden' foods we can feel overwhelmed with desire which leads to an inner battle with ourselves. By learning how to manage your diet, what foods you should limit and those which can be enjoyed in abundance, you can create a new way of eating that you can feel good about instead of feeling deprived.

I hold an accreditation in Nutrition in Culinary Practise at Leith's Cooking School. I provide clients with recipes and meal ideas to support health and fitness goals. This can be particularly useful for those with food intolerances or special dietary requirements.

I believe that two of the major keys to a successful eating plan are preparation and consistency, and how we food shop sets the tone for the days ahead. Look at your weekly routine, come up with an eating plan that works with your lifestyle and supports your goals, and let this plan help determine your shopping list.

To keep consistency around my own eating and food purchases I have my go-to foods and I stock up on these every week so I always have these foods at hand.
